I Knit Socks
Presented by Monty the Knitting Moose from Montana

Knit both socks at the same time on one needle.
A Basic Tutorial for Plain Ole Socks created by Toni Barker

Forward by the author:

This is my method of knitting socks. I do not claim that it is the only
way, as there are many ways to achieve this goal.

You have this pattern in your hands because you want to know how I
did this. It all started because I was tired of having to have 6 books out to
finish a pair of socks, trying to pick up stitiches along the side of the
heel flap and failing to do a decent looking toe.

In other words, I wanted an Easier way to make socks.
This is what I came up with.

I must give credit to my knitting mentor Terry Bolton, to all the Friday and
Sunday knitters who struggled thru this process with me and to all the
authors of all my sock books.

Yours affectionately,

Monty

A note from a friend of the author:

In this book you will learn an absolutely wonderful way to knit socks.

This book helps you bypass some of the pitfalls and frustrations that
a lot of sock knitters experience.

Many sock knitters experience difficulty and frustration when forming the
traditional heel, heel flap and gusset,,, in this book you learn a new way
of creating the spacious fit and traditional look we have all come to love without
the headaches of the "old way." You don't have to do heel flap turns or pick
up stitches along the side of the heel flap.

The shaping of the toe and the dreaded kitchener stitch with its "donkey
ears" & "squared toes" are totally avoided with this method as well. The
end product for this toe shaping method is a beautiful and naturally
rounded toe.

The 3rd issue I see sock knitters face is the "Single Sock Syndrome." In this
book you learn how to make 2 socks at once, when you have finished the
pattern you are finished with the pair of socks. And,,, (drum roll please),,,
as an added bonus
they are exactly the same size since they were done at the
same time on one circular needle.

The descriptions and photos in this book are well put together
and easy to follow

Included in this purchase:

* 1 instruction book with pattern
